Master of Social Work / Advanced Standing
Daemen College

Program Details

This online MSW in Advanced Standing is intended for candidates who hold an undergraduate degree in social work.  With Daemen's program, you'll benefit from the support and networking of a cohort, as you work closely with top-notched faculty.  There are assignments and interactions with both your cohort and your professors, but you will have the flexibility to complete most classwork on your own schedule, asynchronously.  In Daemen's advanced standing MSW online program, you'll take two classes every eight-weeks and can complete your degree in about a year.  Note that you will be expected to complete an advanced practicum, locally, that involves a commitment of 20 hours per week.  You will be well-prepared to sit for licensure with this CSWE-accredited curriculum, that includes classes such as:

  • Psychopathology
  • Clinical Practice with Children
  • Crisis Management with Evidence Based Interventions
