Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Christian Studies degree provides a genuine, practical approach to ministry. This degree acts as a mini-Master of Diversity degree, providing students with the theological understanding and practical skills that will help them in pastoral ministry, foreign missionary service, theological education, or other ministerial positions. The intense curriculum emphasizes the skills of interpreting Scripture, which is the core of the program, along with interpreting social and cultural elements found in the students’ ministry contexts. You will investigate, analyze, and demonstrate an understanding of cultural influences in postmodern America and diverse environments around the world through coursework that mirrors real-life situations. 

Students can choose from various emphasis tracks for individualized study, including:

Graduates are prepared for licensing and ordination/consecration with the Christian and Ministry Alliance or can apply the courses in this program toward Crown’s Master of Divinity degree.
