The Post-Graduate Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program online from Creighton University is for nurses who have already earned a graduate nursing degree as a nurse practitioner and want to become certified to practice in another population.  The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care degree prepares students to care for patients in acute care settings.  You will be working with adults and older adults.  Courses provide a theoretical and practical base for students to diagnose and manage health problems.  In addition to learning about management strategies in nursing, medicine, and pharmacology, you will also become proficient in analyzing and utilizing evidence to improve practice.  This program emphasizes ethical reasoning, cultural humility, and advocacy in social justice.
