Program Details

Prepare students to be active citizens of our globally connected world with an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction: Social Studies from Concordia University–Portland. This program helps you develop a concrete understanding of the integration of social studies curriculum with project-based learning. It aims to revitalize the teaching of social studies professionals and inspire students to learn history in a way that demonstrates the importance of critical thinking in today's world. This fully online, one-year MEd program will help you empower your students to become tomorrow's world leaders.


  • Must have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution

  • Current resume
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or higher (Students may be conditionally accepted with a GPA below 2.8; however, you may be required to submit additional material.)
  • Added supplemental requirements, including but not necessarily limited to letters of recommendation (if applicable)
