Program Details

With an online MEd in Curriculum & Instruction: English Language Development from Concordia University-Portland, you can be an innovative educator at the forefront of language education. This program is designed for teachers in the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary settings who want to enhance their teaching strategies and practices that address structural methods for teaching language. In one year and fully online, you can learn how to integrate technology to enrich student learning and how to connect academic language, linguistics, and plug-and-play lingo. The development of English language proficiency with low language native English speakers is included in this concentration. 


  • Must have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution

  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or higher (Students may be conditionally accepted with a GPA below 2.8; however, you may be required to submit additional material.)
  • Added supplemental requirements, including but not necessarily limited to letters of recommendation (if applicable)
