The online Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in ESL/ELL combines the core professional development focus of a traditional Curriculum and Instruction master’s curriculum with an emphasis on effective, learner-focused English as a Second Language (ESL) and English Language Learner (ELL) instructional theory and practices.  The combined program provides students with a solid foundation in ESL/ELL teacher training and the professional development needed to help them become forward-thinking teachers or administrators.  The program provides an opportunity to develop a differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners and implement best practices to help improve the graduates’ students’ performance and understanding.
