Learn how to create lesson plans for teaching language and culture with a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction focused on ESL endorsement. This online degree program equips teachers to work with new language learners from diverse backgrounds in a variety of PreK-12 settings.
The program specifically prepares students with an Illinois teaching license to receive ESL endorsement. Students from other areas should check their state board of education for reciprocity standards.

- Upon completion of the ESL strand of the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction or Master of Arts in ESL, candidates are eligible for the ESL endorsement to be attached to an existing standard teaching license offered by the State of Illinois. Candidates outside of Illinois should contact their state board of education for eligibility.
- Applicants should have a GPA of 2.85 or higher.
