Program Details

The online EdD/PhD in Leadership with a specialization in Education Technology program develops technology experts into technicians responsible for instructional design, human resource development, professional development, project management, and continuing education of employees.  The curriculum develops research and critical thinking skills in the field of educational technology on both a theoretical and practical level; develops competency in technology development, implementation and evaluation; improves the connection between technology and the teaching and learning process; builds a strong professional background in areas related to educational technology; and supports and leads reform and change efforts related to technology practices and human resource management.   Graduates will be able to design, implement, evaluate and manage educational technology for K-12 education, higher education, corporate training, medicine and continuing education in professional settings.

Requirements

  • Completion requires 61 credit hours for EdD or 67 credit hours PhD
  • Master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Submission of rationale statement, including personal goals
  • Official transcripts of all previous credits
  • Current GRE or MAT scores
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Writing sample
