Program Details

The online EdD/PhD in Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction is for teachers who wish to pursue a program as educators and scholars preparing for leadership roles in public or private schools.  This program develops educational experts who can design, implement, evaluate, and manage curriculum and instruction programs in K-12 schools.  Students learn to develop the abilities for research and critical thinking with theoretical and practical knowledge, develop competency in curriculum evaluation and development, improve understanding in the teaching and learning process, and support and lead reform and change efforts related to teacher development in schools.

Requirements

  • Completion requires 61 credit hours for EdD or 67 credit hours PhD
  • Master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Submission of rationale statement, including personal goals
  • Official transcripts of all previous credits
  • Current GRE or MAT scores
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Writing sample
