Program Details
The Master of Education in Special Education from Concord University is an online special education degree program. Although designed for licensed or license eligible teachers, this program can also be used for re-certification by teachers or as a way to obtain greater specialization in the field. The Master of Education program develops and enhances the student’s knowledge of the subject matter. For this concentration, the focus is on special education classrooms, particularly strategies for teaching various subjects to those with disabilities while also offering support. Courses in this program include:
- Legal and Historical Foundations of Special Education
- Assessment of Individuals with Disabilities
- Teaching Reading to Students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities
- Positive Behavior Support (PBS)
