The graduate-level accredited online TESOL certification program prepares students to teach English language learners in the United States and abroad. Graduates achieving Teaching English as a Second Language certification can work around the world for mission organizations and international schools, as well as in the United States with second language learners.
Students will learn how to develop lessons focusing on important linguistic structures. Courses explore ways to modify language instruction to meet individual student needs, proficiency levels, and academic experience. This certificate can be completed on its own or as part of a CCU master’s degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education or Curriculum and Instruction.
