Program Details
The online Associate of Arts in Elementary Education program is designed to provide the first two years of college preparation for students wanting to become elementary education teachers and/or who plan to become instructional aides. The curriculum teaches students to apply the dimensions of multicultural education to support appropriate pedagogical practices for teaching diverse students in Elementary Education, to select technology tools for integration across the Elementary Education curriculum, and to synthesize the major theoretical perspectives and methods of educational psychology to teaching, learning, and schooling in Elementary Education. Students also learn to choose formative and summative techniques for evaluation and modification with group and individual instruction and learning strategies for Elementary Education.
