Program Details

The College of Central Florida offers the Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education degree online as a flexible option for perspective students.  This degree is designed specifically for those planning to enter the early childhood education field.  The curriculum combines theoretical, practical, and supportive courses along with general education courses that provide a solid background for students.  You will study early childhood techniques that are acceptable as well.  The core courses include:
  • Introduction to Child Development and Education
  • Curriculum in Childhood Education
  • Child Guidance
  • Preschool Workshop
  • Learning Through Play
  • Survey of Disabling Conditions
There are several additional opportunities available to students, including the option of completing the Associate in Arts degree.  Two certificates are available that will prepare you for careers: Child Care Center Management and Childhood Development Early Intervention.
