Program Details

The online Real Estate Property Salesperson Certificate of Specialization program from Coastline Community College is an overall comprehensive program designed to provide students with the basic skills needed to qualify for the State of California real estate salesperson license requirements. Upon completion of this program, students are able to:

  • Take and pass the California Real Estate Sales and/or Broker License Exam
  • Select and complete appropriate real estate forms, including listing agreements, purchase contracts, and cost sheets
  • Guide and assist buyers or sellers with the purchase or sale process, including identifying and articulating issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, coordinating inspections and appraisals, negotiating sales price, and helping clients understand and select financing options
  • List, market, show, rent, lease, and/or sell a property

Requirements

  • 18 years or older (if under 18, students must have graduated from high school, passed the California High School Certificate of Proficiency Test or the equivalent, or completed the 10th grade and received permission from their high school principal and parent to attend)
  • Placement tests for English and Math may be required
