Program Details

The online Real Estate Broker Certificate of Achievement program from Coastline Community College is an overall comprehensive program that provides students with the requirements needed to become a real estate broker in the state of California. Courses that are designed to enable students to reach their course requirements to qualify for the real estate broker license exam provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to:

  • Select and complete appropriate real estate forms, including listing agreements, purchase contracts, and cost sheets
  • Guide and assist buyers or sellers with the purchase or sale process, including identifying and articulating issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, corrdinating inspections and appraisals, negotiating sales price, and helping clients understand and select financing options
  • List, market, show, rent, lease, and/or sell a property
  • Apply common knowledge of loan processing and underwriting

Requirements

  • 18 years or older (if under 18, students must have graduated from high school, passed the California High School Certificate of Proficiency Test or the equivalent, or completed the 10th grade and received permission from their high school principal and parent to attend)
  • Placement tests for English and Math may be required
