Program Details

The online Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management Certificate of Achievement program from Coastline Community College is designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to launch new ventures, or help established entrepreneurs strengthen their managerial and business skills to grow their business. Course work covers the areas of:

  • Evaluating a business opportunity
  • Preparing a business plan
  • Planning advertising and sales promotions
  • Marketing a product or service
  • Managing the finances for an entrepreneurial company


  • 18 years or older (if under 18, students must have graduated from high school, passed the California High School Certificate of Proficiency Test or the equivalent, or completed the 10th grade and received permission from their high school principal and parent to attend)
  • Placement tests for English and Math may be required
