Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC), a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) was established July 1, 2014, from the merger of Altamaha Technical College (est.1989) and Okefenokee Technical College (est. 1965).

As a Unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, Coastal Pines Technical College offer degree, diploma and certificate programs as well as adult education, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and workforce development services. They offer flexible class scheduling through day, evening, and online courses. Through agreements with the University System of Georgia and partnerships with two- and four-year private colleges and universities, students can choose to pursue another degree or credential after graduating from CPTC.
