Program Details
The online Graduate Certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program provides opportunities for all educators to develop skills and knowledge related to English language learners. Courses include:
- Applied Linguistics for ESOL Teachers
- Principles and Strategies for Teaching
- Elementary and Secondary Learners
- Teaching Reading and Writing to Limited English Proficient (LEP) Learners
- Testing/Assessment for Language Minority Learners
Requirements
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts
- An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 OR a minimum scores on the GRE (minimum score of 286 with no less than 146 on the verbal and 140 on the quantitative portions) OR report of a minimum score (388) on the MAT
- Evidence of teacher certification
