Program Overview

The Associates in Science in Business Administration Degree program is designed for students who wish to earn their associate’s degree and transfer into a four-year college or university. Participants are required to complete a total of 61 credit hours in order to graduate from the program. The program curriculum consists of courses in English, social science, humanities, mathematics, science, and other electives. For the business administration portion of the curriculum, students will complete business courses and accounting courses. Business administration provides students with basic business practice fundamentals that are crucial to the operation of businesses and organizations.

The A.S. Degree in Business Administration may be completed in four semesters. After transferring into and graduating from a four-year baccalaureate program, graduates may pursue a career in finance, marketing, sales, or within other business related fields. Business administration provides students with leadership and management skills that may be utilized while in the workforce. The course curriculum will explore business topics in marketing, macroeconomics, microeconomics, computer applications, accounting, and business law. Students may then choose to add business electives to their curriculum. Electives give students the chance to customize their education to best fit their individual interests.

    School Overview

    Clinton Community College, a member unit of the State University of New York (SUNY), is situated at Bluff Point, approximately 4 miles south of Plattsburgh, on forested heights overlooking Lake Champlain. Clinton Community College (CCC) plays a unique role in the local community and within the state by offering traditional and nontraditional students access to a variety of educational programs taught by a highly dedicated faculty. Many CCC students attend for two years, then transfer to a four-year university. Other students graduate and enter directly into the workforce or attend CCC for a short period of time to meet a specific educational need.

    CCC offers associate's degrees and certificates in such fields as business, nursing, and technology. Many degrees can be earned with 50% of the courses taken online, and several of those degrees can be earned 100% online. Online courses have the same content and standards as on-campus courses.
