Program Details

As forensics grows increasingly beneficial to the criminal justice field with technological and scientific advancements, the demand for skilled forensic specialists also grows.  The online MSN degree with a concentration in Forensic Nursing allows RNs to combine the healthcare and criminal justice fields.  The curriculum contains such courses as Introduction to Forensic Nursing, Forensics Methodologies, and The Legal System.  You will be able to take what you have learned in nursing and combine this with new knowledge in forensics to take your career in a different direction.  

All MSN degrees at Cleveland State University focus on population health care.  In addition to the forensic courses in this concentration, students examine the health status of people in defined groups, looking at attributes that may influence health, such as lifestyle, ethnicity, disease, environment, social conditions, and more.
