Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry
The Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry degree offered by Clear Creek Baptist Bible College aims to prepare students to fulfill roles and be involved in a local church’s ministry. This program can serve as a final or first formal ministry preparation. Graduates of this program are typically encouraged to begin careers in their local church or further pursue graduate level degrees or seminary in ministry. The curriculum of this program emphasizes Bible training, as well as a practical component that requires a student to apply their skills and knowledge directly to the ministry in their church or a ministry setting. Clear Creek is a Baptist Bible College and therefore emphasizes Baptist theology and knowledge.
A total of 130 credit hours of courses must be completed in order to graduate with the Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry degree. Students are required to take 36 credit hours of general education courses, 50 hours of Bible and theology courses, and 14 credit hours of ministry courses. Students participate in courses that focus on English, behavioral and social sciences, humanities, mathematics, and physical and natural science. The required pastoral ministry courses include: Introduction to Ministerial Counseling, Educational Administration and Leadership, and Clinical Pastoral Education. Students are required to complete an experiential requirement in order to supplement academic and theoretical skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course of this program.
