Doctor of Philosophy

Program Details

Clarks Summit University offers the Doctor of Philosophy program in advanced professional ministry for leaders in the ministry field who want to develop the ability to engage in biblical and theological research and writing. Students can study concentrations in the Old Testament, the New Testament, or Systematic Theology.


  • To enter the Doctor of Philosophy program an accredited Master of Divinity degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required. The M.Div. must have included biblical language studies in Greek and Hebrew. Other master’s degrees may be utilized and supplemented with additional coursework
