Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Business in Judicial Court Reporting provides students with the training to write realtime using a machine, and for transcript preparation using computer-aided software programs. Students have access to a mock courtroom and realtime labs on campus. Court Reporters are record guardians, and are an integral part of the judicial community. Students are required to complete an internship prior to graduation. 

The curriculum includes a variety of topics, including: 

  • Transcript Production
  • Operating Practices
  • Shorthand Notes

Students should be self-motivated, disciplined, and possess above average language skills. They must be able to concentrate for long periods of time. Graduates have the necessary skills and training to succeed in court reporting by obtaining the online associate degree in Judicial Court Reporting.
