Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Skills for Teacher Leaders program prepares teachers to accept informal leadership positions in their schools.  Students will learn to lead in situations of uncertainty, support and negotiate politics of change, serve as effective peer mentors, respond to competing school reform initiatives to promote student success, and develop effective learning and professional communities.  This program can be completed alone as a non-degree program or while taking a Master of Education concentration.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • Current resume including work experience
  • Undergraduate minimum GPA is 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Teacher certification. Submit copy as of evidence of certification
  • Admission to provisional status may be granted at the discretion of the graduate faculty if the applicant's GPA is less than 3.0/4.0 scale
