City Vision University is the Internet-based distance learning program of TechMission, a primarily degree-completion institution of higher education, located in the city of Kansas City, Missouri. City Vision’s curriculum was originally developed in 1990 and has advanced and expanded over the years to offer both certificates and bachelor’s degrees.
City Vision University offers only distance education courses with on-site training components. Programs of study include: Urban Missions, Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies, Mathematics, Business, English, Humanities, Languages, Psychology, and Science. Three credit courses are offered in an accelerated semester format that lasts 8 weeks (versus 16 weeks in a semester) and require about 20 hours or outside studying per week. Assignments are delivered and collected through Moodle’s course management system.
