Program Overview

Champlain College in Vermont offers a B.S. in Integrated Studies degree. This degree is ideal for students who want a specific career and want to maximize the most out of their education by taking electives that are relevant for their future endeavors. It allows students to combine areas such as technology, business, and healthcare into a major. 

The curriculum is 120 credits; 40 credits are devoted to their area of study, 18 are devoted for professional courses, 22 for general education, and 22 for general electives. The professional courses include: economics, business law, project management, managing behavior, and financial systems for management. The general education component includes relevant coursework including:  statistics, psychology, history, literature, spreadsheet analysis, communication, and critical reading. This degree can be completed in 3 years and courses are offered in 7-week sessions.

    School Overview

    Champlain College is a private college in Burlington, Vermont, that was established in 1878 as Burlington Collegiate Institute by G.W. Thompson. The college has moved many times and changed its name but took its current name in 1958 and relocated to the Hill Section of Burlington where it lies today. Champlain areas of study include undergraduate degrees, online certificates and degree programs, and master’s degree programs.

    In 1993, online educational programs were introduced to the college. Today, the school offers a variety of programs online. Certain associate’s and bachelor’s degrees can be attained by only using online programs. Many other degrees incorporate the use of online classes.
