Program Details

Champlain College in Vermont offers an Associates of Science degree in Accounting. The curriculum is 60 credits, and includes key accounting courses of: financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, tax accounting, and cost accounting. The general education component includes relevant coursework including: database management, communication, economics, and critical reading. This degree can be completed in 24 months. 

This degree program is built on the framework from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The four competencies are: decision modeling, risk analysis, measurement, and reporting. Likewise, under risk analysis, students are to understand business risk and how to control and manage audit risk.
