School Details

First established in 1973, Cerro Coso Community College is a two-year, public school, and one of three higher educational institutions within the Kern Community College District. As part of the school’s mission and philosophy statement, CCCC retains a vision to “be recognized as a leader in higher education, a source of programs and services for tomorrow’s workforce, a model for student learning, and a partner with its diverse clientele and communities.”

Cerro Coso Community College is approved to award associate's degrees, and these include degrees for transfer into four-year programs. Added programs of study include certificates, career development, job skills, occupational training, and workforce education programs. CC Online is the distance education campus within Cerro Coso Community College that provides students with a wide range of associate’s degrees and certificate programs.
