Program Details

Central Virginia Community College offers an online liberal arts degree in Education, the Associate of Arts & Sciences in Education.  This is a transfer program, designed to prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university after completing the first two years of general education courses required for the higher degree.  The ultimate goal for students should be the completion of a degree that leads to teacher certification.  The curriculum draws from a broad interdisciplinary set of courses designed to provide the course work and skills students need to pursue further study in education and ultimately leading to jobs teaching at a variety of grade levels. 

You will take courses in topics that include:
