Program Details

Central Piedmont Community College offers the online AAS in Simulation & Game Development degree program, designed for visually-minded, analytical, and creative students who are excited by growing technology trends such as augmented and virtual reality. You'll learn to:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document computer/mobile simulations, animations, and games using industry-standard tools and technologies
  • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and design for usability and customer satisfaction according to the client's targeted audience requirements when developing and deploying computer/mobile simuations, 3D models, animations, and games

Graduates are prepared for careers as designers, concept and graphic artists, animators, programmers, database administrators, testers, quality assurance analysts, as well as engineers and administrators in the game development industry, entertainment industry, healthcare industry, engineering, forensics, education, NASA, and government agencies.
