Program Details

The online Diploma in Medical Coding prepares graduates with entry-level skills needed for employment in medical coding and/or billing positions in a variety of health care settings.  Students learn to convert narrative diagnoses and services/procedures, documented by providers, into alpha numerical formats using various coding systems.  Graduates are eligible to take the national qualifying examination through the American Health Information Management Association which is required for entry-level certification as Certified Coding Associates.
