Interested students can pursue a Medical Office Insurance Coding Certificate from CCCC online. The program focuses on medical terms, coding, billing, and legal issues.

Students will learn to understand the medical billing cycle including third party payers, coding concepts, and form preparation to successfully complete a medical insurance claim. An emphasis is placed on knowledge of current medical law and accepted ethical behavior. Graduates with an online medical billing and coding degree can find employment with doctors’ offices, clinics, hospitals, insurance claims processors, laboratories, home healthcare agencies, and more.
