Program Overview

Cedar Crest College offers a Human Resources Management concentration within the Business Administration program, through the School of Adult and Graduate Education. The program is offered in a hybrid format and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

The goal of this program is to help students take their business career to the next level. To do so, the human resources management program provides rigorous and top quality courses to expand student’s knowledge bases.

Students must complete a total of 52 credit hours. The courses are divided into Business Administration courses and Human Resources Management requirements.

The program provides students with knowledge of public and private organizations in the expanding field of human resources management. Students will have skill-building opportunities in multiple areas that will help expand their knowledge base. A few of these areas include: organizational staffing and development, economics, business communication, psychology, compensation administration and personnel legalities.

Students may acquire many skills after they have completed the concentration. A few skills include having the ability to evaluate market, legal, and social conditions that may affect an organization. Students should be able to interpret and describe individual and group behavior characteristics and how they affect organizations. Finally, graduates will have been taught to be able to execute various practices and procedure associated with human resources management.

    Cedar Crest College is a private not-for-profit, four-year predominantly women’s liberal arts institution of higher education, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1867, the institution has an historical affiliation with the United Church of Christ, but is academically independent. 

    Cedar Crest College offers bachelor's degrees in nearly 40 programs of study as well as eleven certificates and eight graduate programs. Classes at Cedar Crest College are offered during the day, evening, weekend, and online. Hundreds of online and hybrid courses are offered through e-College, a web-based course-management system. Graduate students can complete certificates and degrees in business, nursing, and education.
