Health Care Management (B.S.)
Cedar Crest College offers a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management through the School of Adult and Graduate Education. This degree is offered in a hybrid format and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
The health care management courses within the program provide students with a broad understanding of the expanding field in public and private organizations. Professionals who have a strong educational background in the world of business teach the courses in the program. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their resumes and knowledge through rigorous courses.
The program works with the students to make sure they receive the best experience possible. Courses are accelerated and offered as hybrid courses. Courses are offered at evening and weekend times to also accommodate to students' schedules. There is a total of 52 credits that must be taken, and the average time it takes to complete the degree is approximately one to two years.
The Health Care industry is increasing and now one of the largest employers nationally. The B.S in Health Care Management at Cedar Crest College can help those who wish to join the field or wish to enhance their current position in health care. This program works to help students build industry-specific skills in processing, management, marketing and finance.
Students will acquire many skills throughout the program such as having the ability to describe administrative problems that involve health care institutions and taking necessary steps to solve them. Students will also learn how to interpret and explain processes and procedures that govern reimbursement, such as revenue management and cost containment in health care systems.
