Carson-Newman University offers an online Doctor of Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.  This program is designed for teaching practitioners, instructional coaches, lead teachers, and others who seek to become leaders in their institutions.  This program is for individuals who have completed master’s and/or educational specialist’s degrees and wish to extend their research expertise.  Candidates develop advanced skills in analyzing theory and research findings for application in a variety of educational settings and will also develop skills for conducting original research.  The focus is on developing leadership skills required for the implementation of research-based change strategies.
