Doctor of Nursing Practice
Carlow University

Program Details

Lead healthcare transformation with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Carlow University. Patient outcomes are better when highly educated, compassionate nurses have a seat at the table. Our online program, which consists of 28 to 32 credits, includes synchronous components that allow learners to earn their DNP in as few as 15 months and begin making a difference in the lives of patients and nurses.

The support of our hands-on faculty, who are guided by the values of the Sisters of Mercy, helps students change nursing practice for the better. Clinical hours and a scholarly project build upon the online classroom hours and empower students to impact nursing practice as they learn. Carlow provides access to a dedicated statistician to ensure robust study design and provide data analysis on scholarly projects, helping students make meaningful observations and recommendations with their work.

Those who complete the program work in clinically relevant leadership roles, such as nurse administrators, chief nursing officers and other high-level, in-demand healthcare roles. Graduate from the CCNE-accredited program empowered to advocate for patients and enact process and policy changes that improve patient care and the nursing profession.
