Capella University's online Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Business Intelligence program prepares you to lead organizational strategies. This curriculum incorporates information-technology management, information science, quantitative analysis, decision science, and management science into a single specialization focused on strategic and tactical decision-making in such areas as data warehousing, modeling, and analysis.
You'll also have the opportunity to participate in Capella's international learning experience. This optional trip is designed to provide multinational networking opportunities, increased cultural literacy, and a global perspective.
Online courseroom discussions, specially designed networking sites, and face-to-face weekend residencies provide ongoing opportunities to build professional relationships and share knowledge with other business leaders around the country. A prescribed course sequence, built-in dissertation milestones, and supportive mentoring create a clear path toward completing the program in 3 years.
Furthermore, Capella University has teamed with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) to offer business students full digital access to the most timely, relevant business news, enhancing your academic experience and giving you a competitive edge in your career.
With your DBA in Business Intelligence from Capella, you'll learn to assess the information needs for a business decision situation and identify and access the appropriate sources for that information, integrate internal and external data needed to support evidence-based decision-making, and analyze information gathered for decision support using the appropriate quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Additionally, you'll demonstrate approaches to the presentation of decision support information that are both ethical and effective.
Common jobs with an online DBA in Business Intelligence include business intelligence consultant, director, analyst or architect. Potential workplaces include corporation, consulting firm, government agency, community college, and land-based or online college or university.
In addition to your online courses, you will attend three four-day residencies.
