Online Associate of General Studies
Campbellsville University offers an Online Associate of General Studies program which is designed for students who desire to earn a degree on their own schedule. This program is ideal for students whose career or personal needs are not met by another program as well as for working adults who wish to complete the first two-years of their college education.
This program will teach students a comprehensive skill set and give them an educational advantage in seeking career advancement. Credits earned may also be applied toward a bachelor’s degree program.
Students will need to take the required 64 credit hours and should be able to complete the program in two years. Students may choose courses in many areas of study including Art, Business Administration, Christian Studies, English Composition, History, Literature, Math, Natural Sciences, Psychology and Sociology, Philosophy, Science, and Speech/Interpersonal Communications. Students will graduate with many potential career and transfer opportunities.

In 1900, the Russell Creek Baptist Association made the decision to establish the Russell Creek Academy in Campbellsville. Students first enrolled in 1907, and by 1924, academic growth launched the school’s official name change to Campbellsville College. As the college transitioned from a junior college to four-year program, Campbellsville celebrated accreditation and, once again, in 1996, changed its name to Campbellsville University. Today, the private, four-year Christian institution has a main campus on 85 acres in Campbellsville, Kentucky, along with the 135-acre Clay Hill Memorial Forest, a research prodiverty located seven miles from the main campus. Campbellsville University awards associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, along with pre-professional, post-graduate, and certificate programs.
At Campbellsville University, students can choose from more than 80 programs in a wide range of fields and degree options. Non-traditional students can pursue various options at Campbellsville University. Distance education programs offer online, hybrid, and web-assisted coursework. Students complete asynchronous online coursework and many programs are offered in accelerated formats.
