Program Details
The online Master of Arts in Teaching Grades 8-12 program equips students who already hold degrees in the respective content subject with teaching certificates. The program includes both traditional and Option 6 programs in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Social Studies tracks, teaching students to work with diverse learners, apply effective teaching methods, and understand student growth and development. Graduates understand the fundamentals of teaching middle school students and have a foundation of pedagogical knowledge for their subject areas.
