Campbellsville University's online Bachelor of Science in Special Education – Learning Behavior Disorders, P-12 provides the specialized knowledge and skills you need to teach primary through 12th-grade students with learning and behavior disorders in Kentucky. The program is delivered in a flexible format and can be completed in as little as two years. You may transfer up to 72 credits to Campbellsville University Online from previous academic experience.
Coursework combines a strong foundation in general education content with a comprehensive study of special education theory and methods. You will learn to design lesson plans for diverse learners and create classroom experiences for various abilities.
This program culminates in a full semester of student teaching in which you can practice new skills and learning approaches in real classrooms. You will also receive assistance to identify student teaching opportunities in your community.
You will be prepared for Praxis® exams and have the initial licensure required to teach special education at the P–12 level when you graduate. A dual certification option is also available for elementary education.
