Since its founding in 1876, Calvin Theological Seminary has faithfully pursued its mission to form Christian leaders who nurture disciples and serve the church. Today, the two institutions bearing John Calvin’s name share many ties, including a beautiful campus, one of the largest private libraries in Michigan, ongoing faculty exchanges, and its parent institution, the Christian Reformed Church.
Calvin awards diplomas, certificates, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees on topics of theology and ministry. Calvin Seminary’s distance learning program allows you to follow your call wherever you are without sacrificing the academic quality or important relationships you would find in our residential programs. Distance learning programs are designed to give you the best of two worlds, combining online learning with 2 on-campus sessions each year. On-campus sessions typically happen in the middle of the fall and spring semesters and span five days.
