Calvary University offer students the opportunity to earn an Associate degree with a concentration in Children’s Ministries. The degree program is designed to fundamentally educate and train individuals to become qualified educators in Christian organizations as well as in outside entities.
The Children’s Ministry degree prepares the student to work with children, introducing them to evangelism and fellowship. The program is 67 credit hours and is comprised of core biblical topics. Courses in the program provide students with the effective and efficient theory and applications needed to serve ministries with the essential foundations needed when teaching children.
Students will be introduced to the essential concepts of study delving into areas of interest such as: Teaching Children Effectively, Understanding Today's Child, and Progressive Methods in Child Evangelism. Students must also complete the general education courses in mathematics, literature, social and natural sciences, history, humanities and the fine arts. Successful students should be able to accurately use hermeneutics when analyzing, interpreting and applying ministry leadership in many professions.
Graduates should consistently demonstrate growth in their Christian character throughout the program and enrollment at the College. Successful students, upon graduation, may use the formal education when seeking musical careers communicating the scriptural truths in an accurate and effective manner to individuals in need. Graduates must also be able to perform the many responsibilities of pastoral care with practical skills.
