Bible Track Concentration
Calvary University offers male students the opportunity to earn a Certificate with a concentration in the Bible. The certificate program is designed for students interested in seeking an advanced education in understanding the Bible and how it can apply to directing life choices, career paths or future ministry aspirations.
The Bible certificate curriculum is comprised of biblical and theological studies in addition to mentoring and discipleship. Each focus builds and reinforces a student’s depth of understanding needed for personal and professional goals. The program is 33 credit hours in length and delves into the essential concepts of study in topics such as: Survey of Old Testament Literature, Bible Study/Hermeneutics, and Gospel of John, Survey of Theology, and an additional 15 credit hours of Bible Electives.
Students must also complete the general education courses in mathematics, literature, social and natural sciences, history, humanities and the fine arts. Successful students should be able to accurately use hermeneutics when analyzing, interpreting and applying ministry leadership in many professions.
Graduates should consistently demonstrate growth in their Christian character throughout the program and enrollment at the College. Successful students, upon graduation, may use the formal education when seeking musical careers communicating the scriptural truths in an accurate and effective manner to individuals in need. Graduates must also be able to perform the many responsibilities of pastoral care with practical skills.
