Sport Management: Wellness and Fitness
This 100% online program is designed to help busy people earn their Bachelor’s degree in Wellness and Fitness over a two or three year period. In order to enroll in the two-year program, students must already possess an Associates degree. Their Wellness and Fitness program will only require 68 credit hours to graduate. The three-year program has two sequences available: one that starts in the spring, and one that begins in the fall.
There are three times when students can enter into the program: January, June and/or August. Once the program begins, courses will continue through spring, summer, and fall semesters. A group of students that enters the program at the same time will finish the program at the same time, in the same group, as well. In addition to courses and class work, students will be prepared to take an exam for a certification in Certified Personal Training that is offered by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
The career settings that students may choose to work in could be fitness clubs, spas, corporate fitness, gyms, strength coaching, military, professional sports teams, and high school and collegiate athletics.
