Program Details

The online master’s degree in Arabic builds on students’ bachelor’s degrees in Arabic language and culture, strengthening their Arabic language skills.  Students must be proficient in both Arabic and English prior to beginning this degree program and will build on these skills while deepening their understanding of the Arabic language and linguistics with degrees in Arabic.  You will develop the skills needed to function professionally as an educator, linguist, translator, or interpreter.  With the increasingly diverse global community, students will benefit from this flexible and customizable degree program that builds both understanding and communication skills. 

Graduates are also prepared to:

  • Communicate effectively within various social contexts using Arabic
  • Utilize foundational, effective Arabic-to-English translation skills
  • Articulate defining characteristics of key societal institutions in Arabic communities
  • Apply insights and problem-solving strategies to behaviors within Arabic culture
