Program Details

The online Doctor of Health Science in Health Science and Exercise Leadership prepares students to step to the forefront of promoting health and wellness in society as they learn to work in healthcare with a preventive health and wellness focus, including courses in advanced exercise science, adult learning, leadership, and research.  The curriculum teaches students to study community and corporate wellness, learn the essentials of human movement science, and examine nutrition plans for peak performance.  Graduates gain advantages for promotion opportunities within the healthcare sector in clinical, professional, educational, managerial, and research roles.

Requirements

  • Overall minimum graduate (master's or doctorate) cumulative GPA of 3.50 (4.0 scale) verified with official transcripts from a regionally accredited college or university
  • GRE test scores
  • Proof as a licensed or credentialed allied health care provider; health, wellness or exercise professional, or two years of recent experience as a practitioner, administrator, educator, clinician, or researcher in health, wellness or exercise discipline
  • Current resume or CV
  • Two letters of professional recommendation
  • Personal statement
