Program Details

The Stanislaus location of California State University offers graduate students the opportunity to earn a Masters of Business Administration degree through an innovative and flexible online learning format. The online program is designed to satisfy busy professionals educational needs while still allowing for current careers and obligations. 

A graduate student’s purpose of earning an MBA degree is ultimately to obtain higher positions in leadership and management career opportunities. The Master’s curriculum aims to give graduates the necessary knowledge of core business concepts, and when combined with previous schooling and professional experiences, may give graduates a comprehensive skill set. Graduates should be more qualified for careers and positions requiring leadership and management than others with only a Bachelor’s degree. Graduates of the MBA program should use theory and application of business and management principles when competing for promotions or completing critical tasks.

The core MBA courses delve into topics of interest such as Management Accounting, Marketing Management, and Managerial Finance. Graduates should be academically prepared and experienced when entering or excelling in the competitive business job market. The California State University MBA designation intends to provide future employers the confidence and insight of a graduate’s abilities in business and many other professional environments.


  • One copy of official transcripts from each college or university attended
  • Three letters of recommendation from faculty and/or other professional sources
  • The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score report, which should be sent directly from the testing organization (the Graduate Record Exam, or GRE, may be substituted for the GMAT)
  • Candidates must demonstrate a two-year record of relevant, full-time employment in a professional or supervisory role. Applicants wishing to enter the program without the required two year-experience may achieve a waiver of the work experience requirement by meeting a higher point score of 1150 points based on the formula [200 times the overall GPA plus the GMAT total score]
