The California State University in Long Beach offers students the opportunity to earn a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Emergency Services Administration. The degree is designed to equip graduate students with the communication, managerial, and analytical skills required for implementing effective responses to many types of natural, technical and human caused disasters. 

The Emergency Services Administration degree is comprised of interdisciplinary courses, delivered through an innovative online learning format.     Each applicant must have completed an appropriate baccalaureate degree from an accredited university and a minimum 3.0 grade-point average in the last 60 semester units attempted.

    The California State University Long Beach campus sits next to the Pacific Ocean in Long Beach, California, on 322 acres. In 1960, the Donahoe Higher Education Act organized all of the California State Colleges into a single system, known as California State University. This re-organization of institutions include the Long Beach campus. Cal State Long Beach awards a large number of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees, in addition to certificate programs. In addition to on-campus programs, students can enroll in a select number of online programs. Students can pursue multiple online classes, both for credit and personal enrichment purposes.
