At California State University in Fullerton, students may earn an innovative online degree, which is designed to satisfy a busy professional student’s need for higher education while staying committed to current careers, community involvement or family. The Master of Science degree in Education with a concentration in Secondary Education can be completed entirely through a virtual classroom, allowing students the flexibility to earn a degree to pursue advanced career opportunities. 

The Masters program in Secondary Education builds on already learned foundations of the essential knowledge and skills to effectively integrate contemporary concepts into middle and high school classrooms. Graduates of the Secondary Education program may use the degree’s curriculum to maintain current teaching positions and satisfying continuing education requirements, or as the needed education to pursue positions requiring the specified topics associated with teaching middle-high aged school children. 

The Secondary Education concentration will provide students the critical courses covering concepts of: Advanced Instructional Proficiency in Educational Technology, Graduate Studies in Secondary Writing, and Survey of Educational Research, among others. Graduates should be prepared to apply the learned topics in classrooms or leadership roles in both the public and private education systems.

    Number twelve: that describes the beginnings of California State University, Fullerton, in 1957, when the California Legislature approved the establishment of a 12th State College. Today, the University bears little resemblance to its founding. Located in Orange County, California, just thirty miles south of Los Angeles, Cal State Fullerton offers 100-plus undergraduate and graduate degrees, including doctorate degrees housed in nine colleges:

Courses are typically asynchronous, and students complete weekly assignments, including discussion boards. Cal State Fullerton also offers self-paced coursework through CD-ROMs.
