Program Details

The online Master of Science in Education with a Teaching and Learning concentration program helps students become effective online educators or trainers as they learn how to create teaching materials optimized for virtual classrooms that focus on learner engagement and authentic learning outcomes.  The program takes each student’s background into consideration as they take courses in best practices and areas of expertise to meet the needs of each learner.  Students will have various career opportunities within the field and will gain preparation to succeed.


  • Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Have earned a GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) of upper-division, post-baccalaureate, or graduate-level course-work
  • Be a subject matter expert with background in face-to-face teaching, training, or a HR or faculty development professional (subject matter expertise can be from any field or content area)
  • Official copy of transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
  • Letter of intent
